Fortius Clinic

Fortius Clinic was established through the merger of the existing practices of the UK’s leading surgeons, purchase radiologists and physicians, to form a world class multi-disciplinary clinic in orthopaedic and sports medicine. As a proposed UK centre of excellence, the group have strong associations with elite and professional sports groups such as: Chelsea FC, cheap Arsenal FC and Tottenham FC plus they work closely with the ERFU, many Premiership rugby clubs, and the English Cricket, Tennis and British Olympic Associations.

Objective

The Group had already been established but engaged Horsetiger Ltd in an interim management role to kick start and develop their project from a concept to a reality.

Solution

Horsetiger Ltd helped facilitate their property search, engage and instruct contractors and professional service providers (surveyors, architects, planning and utilities).  Horsetiger co-ordinated and led the negotiations with specialist suppliers (and funders) and installers of medical diagnostic equipment MRI, X Ray, Ultrasound including the sourcing and development of a unique teleradiology and practice management software and hardware solution – resulting in substantial cost savings. Horsetiger also prepared a variety of reports on the market opportunity and competitive analysis on the UK & London private specialist healthcare market to assist in the marketing and positioning development.

The Edinburgh Clinic

Objective

The Edinburgh Clinic (Aspen Healthcare ongoing) was a vision born out of Dr Martin Errington’s (an Edinburgh based Consultant Radiologist) existing private imaging practice, ask Errington Associates. Horsetiger was retained in in 2003 to assist in the overall business development of Errington Associates.

Solution

This process involved a complete strategic review, planning and then implementation strategy with Alasdair Muir of Horsetiger actively involved in the negotiations with suppliers, clients and agencies.

As a consequence of the growth and in response to a market analysis and feasibility study, The Edinburgh Clinic was developed.

The Clinic is a fully integrated diagnostic (MRI, CT, X ray, DEXA and ultrasound), consulting and day case theatre clinic facility offering private clients a new one stop healthcare option in the heart of Edinburgh.

Horsetiger managed the business launch and project including the selection and management of architects & contractors, staff and management appointments, engaging consultants, purchasing, legal liaison and delivering a sales and marketing strategy to promote this unique facility. Horsetiger also led the negotiations with PMIs

Ray Stanbridge assumed the responsibility for the financial management of the project including business structuring & planning, securing finance and introducing financial systems and discipline to the business.

The Clinic opened January 2009 and has subsequently been purchased by Aspen Healthcare a dynamic US healthcare provider who are currently very active in growing their market presence in the UK. Horsetiger have since been retained by Aspen Healthcare to help promote The Edinburgh Clinic.

Baddow Hospital

The Hospital was a strategic alliance between consultant clinicians and property developers in Essex resulting in the new development of the Baddow Hospital in Chelmsford.

Horsetiger was retained to assist the clinicians and developers realise their vision and bridge the relationship between the medical requirements and objectives of the clinicians and the commercial realities of an £8m new build development.

Alasdair Muir of Horsetiger was appointed as interim Commercial Director and over two years became integral to the business structure, no rx funding, planning, equipment sourcing, consultant recruitment, branding & marketing and recruitment (MD and staff). The hospital was opened in June 2013 and subsequent opportunities for joint venture expansion has been identified and planning permission for a further 30, drugstore 000 sq ft development has been established.

Montefiore Hospital

Horsetiger was originally retained to assist a Brighton based orthopaedic group to develop their own diagnostic day case clinic.

As the business planning process progressed the project evolved into a major opportunity to design, sildenafil build and develop a major multi-disciplinary new hospital. A unique joint venture was formed between the orthopaedic group and Spire Healthcare resulting in the development of the Montefiore Hospital, view a £30m+ state of the art hospital in central Brighton.

Horsetiger was integral to the strategic development, corporate negotiations, diagnostic equipment, IT, PACS and practice management sourcing and purchasing.

Direct Medical Imaging (Fylde)

DMI is an independent private diagnostic clinic based in Fylde, viagra sale Lancashire providing MRI and x ray scanning facilities to the local private community.

Due to unforeseen circumstances a major tranche of business was lost almost overnight and Horsetiger was retained to assist in developing new strategies and business alliances to retrieve the lost revenues.

Horsetiger reviewed the company strategy, viagra management structure, internal personnel issues and marketing materials & website. Horsetiger led new NHS & Insurer negotiations and managed tenders for NHS & BUPA contracts. Subsequent renewed confidence in new business opportunities and real incremental revenues led to the expansion and purchase of a second MRI for the clinic.
